Default I Keep Crashing

I tried to do one of the tutorials posted by Barry "Using Adobe Plugins" I crashed when I get to picking a filter every time.
I usually do my work in Corel and bring it into Flexi to print.
I get the virtual memory alert at least well Several times a day.
What I need ~ being self taught and not up on computer speak~ is the ideal PC computer w/ all the specs That will run Flex,Corel,Illustator & Photoshop and Roland SP-300. I am maxed out on RAM. I just don't want to crash anymore. Ya I have a lot of fonts, let me know if additional info is needed. I need a new computer this is a Dell for home use.
I hope I'm not over simplifying this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

When I got the versacamm and started using fills etc. my computer had 512 mb ram. I could soon see that was not enough. I added 2GB on that computer and it is working well. I have 2gb on another one that works well.
I try to keep my INSTALLED fonts to around or under 300.

I think I have around 700 fonts installed at the moment.. It doesnt really seem to cause any issues other than taking a bit longer to startup Flex, Corel, etc.

You should use Extensis Suitcase. I only have default fonts installed in my win machines, i only activate fonts as i need them.

What dpi are you rastering the image in and how big is the image in inches? Flexi will sometimes crash on extremely large images.
