Are most of the people voting Scanvec Amiable using Flexi 7.x or the Photo-
print? Looks like I am buying a new 300V and I have FlexiPro 7.6
already- wondering if that is better than Versaworks? Thanks Gene

Gene I have heard that the Old Color rip is better than the Flexi rip and I dont know much about the new Versaworks, I was told the rip that came with the older Versa Camms is better color reproduction!

Chris

I have tried my Flexi and I didnt like the colors it reproduced compare to the Color rip that cam with my machine!

Just an FYI, I understand there have been some improvements in Flexi v7.6 that fix some of the printing issues. I have not used it so I cannot say for sure, just what I have heard.

Question What RIPith you?

I use CiberPrint. I'm new with this stuff with only a year of experience.
I've got a trial copy of FutureRIP SE. Has anyone used that one?

I've used Future Rip with my old Roland and it works really well for my machine & inks. It's quite a good stand alone rip program. I'm not sure if they've updated it at all though. The stuff on the Vinyl Master pro website looks unchanged for years.

Having said that though, I know there's a new version of VMPro out or coming out soon. Not sure if Future rip has been updated.
I should upgrade but I don't ever use Vinylmaster or future rip now for that matter.

Best thing for you to do is try the demo and see if they have profiles on their site for your machine. You could be lucky like I was. They do offer a profile building service.

We just purchased Onyx PosterShop 6.5. It blows Colorspan's built-in RIP out of the water. I've got a brother who is a programmer for PosterShop as well, which is one of the reasons we went with them. The powers that be above me liked having a man on the inside.

I use CibrePrint 5.0 and it works very well. It came with the printer I bought. It prints and contour cuts. It is like any other program, they take time to learn.

Photoprint = Flexi (same software, different feature packages)
Wasatch = Versaworks (and several other names they OEM'd the product with)

is there an easier way to control the ink output of Wasatch Softrip 4.5? not that familiar with curves, no slider for color adjustment??
