I'm certain that's the case. I really feel for the programmers and even more for the support guys (and gals). They end up taking lots of heat for decisions made by others.

I sent an Email to Onyx asking about a profiling guide for 7.0. I have a profiling guide for the older versions so I was wondering if maybe I just did recieve the newer one. Nope, turns out the decieded not to print one but to put it online. Now I don't know if you guys have ever gone on and checked it out but it's pretty useless. the tech told me that they are still building the data for the ehlp files so they continue to update them.

the latest is I can't get the patches to update 7 properly..
autoupdate seems to do the do but something weird prevents it from applying the updates.
to their credit onyx support have been very helpful.
I'm sure it will get sorted eventually.
thankfully I still run 6.5 which is an excellent product.
we used to have weirdness in older versions of postershop with our HPs where it wouldn't complete long print runs, just cut off for no apparent reason - very frustrating... well that issue seems sorted now in the recent versions.
so just need to have a little patience I guess and keep pumping out the prints with 6.5 till things get sorted in 7

They're working on a new build 7.0.0.3 that should address "most" of the issues that have been reported. I should be helping with the pre-beta and beta testing in the next couple weeks.

yeh support just emailed me and said stand by for 7.0.3, it's nearly ready for download..
I'm ok to wait, still pumping out prints with 6.5 anyways

anyone used the new media manager to profile media?

I couldn't get it to run but looks a bit user friendlier than the old system..

7.0.3 is still probably a couple weeks away, but possibly sooner. I just installed the Phase 1 beta on friday. I think there's only about 5 of us doing phase 1 at the moment, and then they'll open it up for the full beta team in phase 2.

The new media manager is more user friendly in my opinion, but I never used the one in 6.5 as much as I should have so I wasn't fully familiar with it anyways. My brother was just put in charge of Media Manager and will be working on it full time now as the lead programmer and manager, so he's hoping to really step it up from where it is even now.

Just had another one of those dreaded errors today. I was printing a tradeshow booth and the RIP thought that 3 1/2 panels instead of 4 was good enough.

took me about 1 1/2hrs to re Rip the file and send the 1 panel..
good times!! I just hope the registration is still good!
