Where do the files go when deleted from the print ( and rip) queue? Was checking my disk space remaining and there is precious little left.
How do I get colorip down to a manageable size? I still have quite a few files in each queue (for print stations 1 and 2). Will being ruthless in deleting these files free up some disk space for me? Is there a way to save the ripped files to disk for later use? Thanks...Ken

Why would you want to keep them in your queue? If the job has been printed & you don't do it on a regular basis, make a folder in mydocs. called jobs, & put it there. If space is at a premium, then zip the files before you store them. At the cost of BIG hard drives, zipping doesn't sound like its worth the time/money.

I dont think it is posible in colorrip.
When you delete the files from the rip and print que it will not take up space anymore. You can do it in VersaWorks witch is a nice feature if you have to do the job again later on and want to get same result. |

the files are kinda too big to "save to disc" unless you're using like a dual layer dvdrw or something... it'd be a waste of time. Just make sure to clean up your queues as you go along. There's no reason to keep something in queue after it's done =)

Hi everyone,
ColorRIP "store" all RIPped files in Program Files>Colorip>prtqueue.1 (.2/.3/.4) and ripqueue.1 (.2/.3/.4). Today when transfering files and other stuff in my new PC, I found out that these folders were few gig each so as other said, if you don't need these files to be printed on a regular base, save 'em on DVD or on external HD. Maybe we need to "flush" these folders on a regular base even if we delete the queue IN COLORIP. 'Don't know... Concept

As per 'concept'. I copy mine to an external backup drive and then delete them from the queues from within ColoRIP. Sometimes it's just as quick to re-RIP from the source file.
