Default Colorip 2.2 And Sp300v

Will be purchasing a new sp300v soon and want to know if anyone is using the older colorip 2.2 with the sp300V. Does it work and will it require any firmware changes. Dont want to use (WORSAWORKS) if I dont have to.

Would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

actually, I believe you cannot use a 300v with colorip without something special from roland. I have a sp300, with colorip already, but I recently was looking into adding another 300v or 540v and was told it was impossible to run either with my current software.

Color Rip will not work with any V printer ( IE. SP300v, 540v etc.) If you want to use that kind of software then you will need to upgrade to Wasatch Soft Rip.

Thanks for the answer. I figured that was most likely the case.
Is there an upgrade price available?

I think the upgrade to Wasatch Soft Rip is around $1500

something else you could do is use flexisign - it can print directly to the 300, 300v, 540v, the soljets etc.

I bought Wasatch desktop and small format edition- it will drive the 300V
AND cut- for $595. Works great- Softrip 5.2. Gene

PS this was new-- from Wasatch-- not on ebay or used
