I guess software is the best place for this, this problem seems like it would be a software issue more than a hardware issue, but I dunno...
I have a Mimaki JV3-130 printer and a Summa S160D plotter. Onyx 6.5 runs the printer (Cut Server 2.0 drives the plotter for contour cutting prints) and I cut regular vinyl from Signlab v6 through the Signlab Output Spooler. Everything works fine EXCEPT... if the printer is printing and I go to cut some vinyl (not printed, just regular vinyl) from Signlab the printer stops printing and goes offline. If I'm cutting vinyl from Signlab and I go to print something, the plotter stops cutting. I've not yet had an opportunity to see if the same thing happens when I'm contour cutting prints from CutServer while the printer is running, or vice versa. It seems to me there's a conflict somewhere between Signlab (or Output Spooler) and Onyx. Anybody ever heard of this? Thanks, mike |

Mimaki is connected via firewire, summa plotter is connected via serial.
