I was going to bid on the Softrip light on ebay, but- looking at the Wasatch
website- you have to upgrade to 5.16 before you can buy the contour cut option (approx $500). So I was talking to a saleman and explained what I had.... He said that I can rip and cut with the desktop and small format edition for $597.50 (it says $595.50 on the website- I hope he is getting a bigger commission than that!). Thought this would be good info for the SP300Vers. Gene |

This is an update on this purchase. This version does indeed run the sp300v.
It rips and cuts and does everything that the full version and the roland only version does. It comes with the same support and if you are limited to the sp300 I think it does what you need. If you are thinking of upgrading to a 54" printer you can upgrade to a larger version. It doesn't come with the profiles on the data discs- they tell you to download the Softrip files from RolandDGA and that seems to work fine. I am using Triangle inks so I asked Nu-sign to send me profiles for them- not sure what materials that will cover yet. Plan on a longer learning curve than involved with Versaworks but it will be worth it in the long run- I only wish I had switched immediately. Gene |

Gene,
You can get some of the Triangle Profiles from our downloads section here on the site. http://printingdigital.net/forums/lo...links&catid=20
