Default How much for this?

This project will be print, laminate & install. The design has been done on photoshop by another source. I don't have a clue on what to charge for this. This customer bought a trailer similar to thisabout 5 years ago and claims he was quoted about $10K for a wrap. I'm not so sure I believe this. Anyway this will be the sides and back of the trailer as well as the sides of the semi that pulls it. The trailer is 53' long. Any thoughts or help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm also thinkingabout subbing out the printing and laminating to one of the folks that wholesale to the trade. I figured my cost on materials to be between $5 & $6K, so if a wholesaler's price is within range I'm thinking it might be a better option.

Without the design I wouldn't touch it for under 14k with design add another 3-4k. Also, you'd better hope the design is coming from a company that knows how to design wraps or you'll be waisting ALOT of material doing reprints! I would even put that in the contract somewhere. Something like: Due to possible design flaws from 3rd party we will charge for any and all wasted material..Just to cover your ars.

I would suggest doing the printing and laminated yourself, you own the equipment might aswell squeeze a dime out of it! That size would take about 2-3 full days at "basic print" mode to print.

Also, if he got a price of 10k I would just stand firm with your price and remind him that he gets what he pays for. You may also want to try to work out a payment plan to make it a little more affordable for them, I have implemented a payment plan here and it has really increased sales. It's tough to get businesses to shell out 5k all at once theses days.

I agree 100% with JMD. I worked for a company that used to do these quite often and 10K is ridiculous. I would hate to see what it looks like when finished? Anyway, I think you'll end up at around 18-20K on the low side.
