Default sq.ft. vs. Ln. ft.

i'm debating which way to go as far as billing is concerned.

does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

pro's and con's.....

can anyone tell me if there are charging by the linear foot, what the typical price difference is between charging by the linear ft. to sq. ft.

thanks,

p

You need to do both. Charge for printing by square foot of image area but charge for media by linear foot of media unrolled. I charge whatever I charge per square foot for printing regardless of media, it varies based on size. Then I charge 200% of cost for whatever media I unroll for the job.

When you separate the media from the printing, it makes pricing a lot simpler and more consistent.
