Default Convex decal pricing help

What would be a "fair price" on 100 "decals" printed on Convex High Bond with Convex Laminate? The dimensions are 10" x 12" printed at 720x720 on a Roland SP 300V using Eco-SoL Max inks. I have Estimate and the Digital Printing plug-in but I am still configuring it and the numbers I am coming up with seem a little high to me, but honestly I have no idea yet...

Thanks,
Gene

that's 83 1/3 sq/ft printed. On your printer you can fit two wide 12" x 2 so 24" so 50 sets of two... so that's 500" long ( or 41 2/3 feet), not including space between the prints if there is any. So you'll be using 103 1/4 sq/ft minimum in material alone. And don't forget there's an equal amount or more of laminate as well. And inks... I estimate my sp300 at about .25c per sq/ft printing.

That may sound a little in-depth but it's the kind of stuff I think about when pricing out a job like that. Typically we charge anywhere from $12-$18 a sq/ft depending on the client and job. For something like that I'd charge at least $8 sq/ft, so $666.40 to cover all your costs, time, wear on the printer, loss of materials, etc. Chances are we'd even price it higher; probably like $8 per decal.

Thanks! That's the "in depth" I'm looking to do on everything I print. It's all so new to me (well with the versacamm anyway). I appreciate your input, I am leaning closer to $14 a sq. ft. We'll see what the customer says! Anyone else care to chime in?

Thanks,
Gene

I'm using convex high bond to stick to low energy plastics. Regular cast vinyl has not been working.
