I just received an opportunity for a very large job to complete over the summer and have been stumbling with pricing.
It consists of a partial graphic on each trailer, totaling 400 square foot. My material I plan on using is 3651 Orajet and 210 Oraguard lamination. I have a versacamm 300, but will purchase a 540. I figured that it will cost me $600 in material for each truck. Due to the high volume I priced it at $4.50 per foot. ($1800 per truck for design, print and install) for a contract of 20 trucks. My customers understands that I am way low in price for this, so we are doing 20 trailers to start and then repricing the remainder 40. Now, if I was a large shop, instead of working out of my house and had steady work flowing in, I could price it higher as a take it or leave it deal, but this is an opportunity to expand my shops equipment and make a steady income for the summer. (I teach printing and Graphic Design at a local school during the rest of the year along with my sign shop-graphic design business. Please let me know if I am crazy or not.... but please be gentle. Thanks for you time, Marty UPDATE: This price includes design and install. Last edited by mzueger : 04-19-2007 at 12:17 PM. |

Not to burst your bubble but you should be about $3.00-$3.25 s/f. There are many shops that will do this kind of work on 3M for under $2.50 s/f. We come across them everyday.

I am doing the design and install also... I see people charging over $10 for one vehicle, I was thinking that I was too cheap for my price... |

if your install and design that is a low price. You should give the design a seperate value and not roll into your s/f price.
