Default Cost of employees

Hey all,

I know this has kinda been touched on before but in regards to employees and pay, I was trying to figure out some things.

Let's say you had:

2 production guys
1 designer
1 outside sales

What would make sense to pay the production guys...I was thinking $12-$13 an hour.

For the designer, do you pay them salary or hourly? If hourly, I was thinking $15-$17 per hour.

For the outside sales, this one is tricky. I was thinking base pay and then of course a good commission on top of that. Problem is, I can't figure out what a good base would be for someone. I was thinking $30,000 base and then commission on top of that. This would be for the MidWest area.

Any ideas, comments, or thoughts.

This is for a full, large shop.

Thanks!
