Biggest single job I've done to date. This is for our church, and I did it WAY cheap given the overall time and complexity of the job.
Overall size is 12' x 24' which consists of 9 - 4' x 8' panels printed on Orajet 3165 and laminated with Oraguard 200 (just to make handling and installation easier really). I've never installed on a wall like this and even though it has a relatively small texture, it is flat paint. I went back the next day and used a heat gun, rivet brush and felt squeegee on most of it, especially the edges where it wasn't adhering very well. I suggested it be sanded down and painted with semi-gloss or gloss, but they were willing to chance it. We'll see over time how it goes.

Can't say you will have problems but I think you are asking for them by installing a mural on a wall using anything but flame and smoke certified product... I have done many mural jobs for both the digital and non digital wallcovering industry and usually this is an absolute requirement, I dont install but the hangers always request it. --and it is only a matter of time that some one gets sued... anyway -- nice job I don't mean to scare you but there are laws. I am sure oracal will agree that you aren't supposed to take material designed as temporary banner and use it to install permanant on a wall....There are also better alternatives for ease of installation and future removal -- such as dreamscape vinyl...
good luck... |

Reminds me of the one I did for the local blue bunny store...it was a 14'x40'. It was a massive job, but our installers (in house) did an awesome job. It also helped that we would tell the drywallers and painters exactly how to prep the wall for the print.
