Hiya Gang,
Sine I'm becoming more active here, I might as well post some images of my portfolio. This one is my best so far... ![]() It was a colaboration between the company I worked for and another firm that specialized in design, but not production. The total project took about a month to design and build. It was a tight turn around, so there was a lot of outsourcing involved too. The project required the attention by all of all of our staff of 12. I managed the in house printing and fabrication, while the remainder of the staff focused on design, set up and outsourcing of the frames and fabric printing. The booth was about 40' x 60' and filled a tractor trailer. Havin' fun, Checkers |

I think the flames have everyones attention.
Would you mind going into a little detail on how the effect was achieved? Clear/translucent material? light source, etc.

Thanks for the positive comments.
All of the creative process was based on what would appear to be the most difficult part of the display, the flaming tube. But, it was actually the easiest for us If I remember correctly, the manufacturer was either Moss or Nimlok. They originally used the tension fabric frame for their display to showcase their capabilities. So, the engineering, lighting and fabric printing for that structure was already complete. We rented the system and had it shipped straight to the show. So, I never got to see that part of the display. All of the other designs were provided to us and the fabric printing on the smaller items was outsourced. The 2 story structure was the clients exisiting display that we refurbished and fitted with new graphics. The walls and most of the other panels were extruded aluminum from Octanorm and we fitted them with 6mm pvc inserts. The opaque prints were produced on an encad novajet 700, reverse printed clear polycarbonate and either laminated to 6mm pvc or backed up with a 10 mil pvc backer and attached with Velcro. Havin' fun, Checkers |
