Default Window graphic

My first "real" window graphic.
70 sqm of printing, alot of water, alot of patience.
Sorry, large-ish image.

Yes... very sweet. Looks like it's got to be about 30-35' tall. Lots of fun in the print shop.

Was 9.8m tall.
Not one for heights but the scaffolding was nice and stable.

That is impressive!!!

What material did you print it on? Is it laminated? Is it back lit or is that natural light outside?

Well Done

3M IJ20 clear. Temp material, but i still need to remove it in around 3 months.
Just tweaked the contrast and brightness in Versa till i got a good amount of colour onto the media.

Just the lower row of panels/doors, where folks can and will touch.

Natural light from outside. There is a huge balcony beyoned the row of doors at the bottom. It looks stunning at night from the motorway when all the lights are on inside.

Just as a matter of interest and comparison.
I had no idea how much to charge on the job.
It came down to ZAR33 000, roughly $4500.
Call it 70 square meters.
What would something like that go for on your side? (roughly)

Another cool thing.
The pic is of a chap called Ban Saunders, solo polar explorer.
He gave a huge speech at the clients premises to staff the Friday, and over the weekend the graphic went up.
The following Monday he was invited back for "coffee" before his return to London.
He was blown away to say the least, proceeded to sign on the graphic on the lower right panel.

Very enjoyable job.

I would charge about $60-$70 a sq meter for print and then a charge for the hoist and and a fitting charge. I don't know how much we would get for a job like that as I have not done one that size yet.

It is great that Ban Saunders was pleased with the image, as well he should be.

All I can say is I am really impressed.
