I've been hanging off the side of a wharf painting up this little baby!
It's been hot, cold, windy, rainy...and when the tide goes out we can't reach the bottom half of the lettering. There's a bit more lettering to go in the middle yet - done with mask. Then we sand it down and roll 2 coats of 2 pack ureathane. We used 2 cherry pickers and 3 guys. Trying to get those patterns in place was tricky hanging over the water in a couple of cherry pickers with the wind blowing! Ah well, back to my cushy little office to do some printing now... ![]() |

No idea of the price. I am just helping out my old boss with this job.
I haven't worked for him for 18 years and he called me up out of the blue to see if I could help. The ship owners organized the cherry pickers and the paint etc. The crew were there to move the boat and turn it around when we needed it. Three of us were on it about 4 days plus the time to make the pounces etc. |

Awesome Job
At least you had cherry pickers to do the sides. I hung off the sides of the USS Yellowstone AD41, on a swing and hardnest. It was just big enough for you to sit with your paint can. From the water line up was a least 3 stories up. |
