I am considering purchasing either the epson 7800 or the canon w6400. I am leaning towards the canon because the rip is included. Also, the canon seems to be more user friendly and inks are a little cheaper than the epson. Does anyone have any experience with the canon? Suggestions or comments?

Call your local Epson & Canon dealers and get 4-6 names from them of folks who have those printers you're considering. The dealers will likely give you names of folks who will give a positive reference, but at least it's a start.
