Default Installing New Roland Pump, Help please.

I started to install the new roland pump that arrived today.

Removing the old one was a breeze thanks to Gary's earlier help instructions.

I was supposed to get some instructions on installing the new pump with it but did not and unfortunately I started the R/R job before I noticed.

If anyone has any idea how to put the new one in that would be great, otherwise, I will have to install the old one till tomarrow.

Thanks.

Default Installed New Roland Pump

Well it is installed (48 min 32 sec)
If anyone needs some help, I will try since I think I may be the first to do so
so far outside of a Roland Tech.

It was not easy but it was not terrible to do either. I would rate it about a 5 on a 10 point scale and for comparison would rate removing the old pump about a 2 (Gary really helped us on that though)

Anyway feel free to email at gpjohnson1@earthlink.net or pm
if you need too and I will try to help.

Besides the physical installatiion, you have to upgrade to the latest firmware version, and then enter service mode to set system switch 12 to a 1. Failure to do so can ruin the pump as the stepper motors need to run at a slower cycle so as not to ruin the new pump. If you haven't done so, pm me and I'll help you out.

Yes I had already upgraded to V6.3 firmware and during the install went to page 12 and changed the last number to 1, it was under system switch but I almost missed this step as it was under the upgrade firmware portion of the instructions I recieved, I just got lucky and saw it.

Actually the whole pump switch thing was not too bad but it definitely was not a cake walk either and I can see a lot of ways a guy could mess the install up.

It probably would be advisable to use a qualified Roland Tech. Thanks Mleg1972 for posting as that would not have been a good thing to miss.
