Window perf advice please.

I an printing a multi panel photo basedimage to go across 4 upper floor windows in one of our stores on perf vinyl.It isn't long term,probably a year and wont be reachable and touchable.

Anything special about printing on perf,and as long as there is no overlam can I wet mount it, as I have never tried this before...

advice sought and appreciated!

I have not done anything the size you have but I have put unlamented printed perf on windows about 4ft by 3ft. As there is no laminate it is really malleable and can deform as you try and put it on. What I have done to get round this is to print it and let it gas off then just before we go to do the job, I put low tac application tape on it. That way it is more manageable when applying. I don't apply wet. I always do it dry, it has plenty of holes for the air to escape to and once its on, then gently peel back the application tape.

I don't know if that is the convectional way of applying unlamented window perf, but I found it works for me.

This is exactly how i do it and it works great, this is the way i did my store front

was done with 28" panels, that store front was my first time using the window perf and i didnt have any problems...

That looks very very nice .Great job.
Question.On the right window did you overlap the perf and if so how is it holding out.

Thanks, I printed them all with a very small overlap .25" i think i could of even went smaller.. but the graphics are holding up just fine, i did have some problem with the overlap sticking to the vinyl with all the ink on it.. but i just used my heat gun to put some heat on it.. and it is seeming to stay stuck pretty good.

How much light loss was there....is it dark on the other side?There is no such thing as a stupid question...but I can come close at times...

i didn't notice any light loss.. the only thing i don't like about them is at night when i have my lights in you can perfectly see in.. but i ordered blinds for the windows also so i can close those at night.

I apply window perf without app tape and do it dry.

Peel the perf about 1-2 inches from the backing and apply it to the glass. Make sure its horizontal without tension. Then pull back the backing paper a further 6 inches and now press the sheet against the backing paper and the glass. It should hold the sheet nice and tensioned with no wrinkles. Keep applyign all the way down. If you get what would normally be a small bubble this can be pressed down with pressure and come out.

Don't heat and stretch perf. You will cause the circles to turn into ovals and from the inside it distorts your vision.

When printing perf up your contrast by 20% to compensate for less material being used.
