Default Encoder Module

Can anyone tell me whare to find the Encoder Module on an SP300? I have the repair manual but there isn't anything listed for the ENCODER MODULE or ENCODER STRIP

Lift the perspex flap and look above the rail that the head runs side to side on. There is a what looks like clear strip above the rail, this is the encoder strip. The encoder module is attached the rear of the head and runs up and down the encoder strip. This tells the head where is is as it traverses along the rail.
