I have a broad question. I'm looking for a digital printer that is at least 54" with a cutter and take up reel. I know about the Roland printers, but I'm unfamiliar with Mimaki. I need a recommendation for a solid printer meeting the above specs, and if anyone has an old one they would like to sell, I'd love to hear from you.

FYI,
The main differences between the Mimaki and Rolands are. 1. Mimaki uses full solvent inks that HAVE to be vented from the room. Rolands run on a milder solvent that does not necessarily have to be vented. (Less heath hazards). 2. The Rolands have a built in Cutter, the Mimikis need a seperate cutter. Both are good machines, it just depends on which one fits your needs best. I seriously doubt your going to find to many 54" machines for sale at the moment. These are big profit making machines and unless someone is trying to upgrade to something bigger I don't see to many people parting with their machines. I would suggest looking at the machines new.

Ok, here's another question. Since the SC-540EX has been discontinued, can you buy it new for a discount somewhere? Anyone know?
