Do you have your own spectrophotometer?

If so, use it to measure the match proof color directly into your RIP. Name the color in the RIP library for spot colors and name the color the same in the file. Voila! super precise (as long as your output profiles are as you say "solid")

One tiny detail is the color in the file needs to be defined as a spot, not process color.
