The easiest way and fastest way i get a cutline around something thats an odd shape is to first group the original make (if its not a jpeg) and copy and past directly over that. If its a jpeg or something, select the second image and trace bitmap (detailed logo works best), once traced delete the parts of the background that you dont want, so that it is just the image left and use the the fill bucket to fill it all in black. Convert this to a bitmap then trace again. The add your cutline color and get rid of the fill... and thats it. If you want the cutline to be slighty outside the image then just add a thick outline at the same time you fill it all in black, then trace.
