The sandwich style works as long as both pieces are registered correctly. If you misalign the prints, then it looks a little blurry. The color saturation is good and the color is more accurate than trying to simply to a double-strike on just one media. This type of installation is mostly for viewing in both daylight and backlit. If the piece is backlit only, then you can simply double-strike the one print. It will be dark when not backlit. Again view it under your actual back-light when making the profile so you can see what the effects of doubling the ink are. I have made a bunch of these.
